Magnum — MAGNUM Mat

Floor heating is the most comfortable form of heating. Underfloor heating radiates a pleasant, even temperature across the floor which rises equally across the whole room, unlike traditional radiators. This is an ideal solution for existing floors but can also be used in new builds.

MAGNUM Mat is made up of an open nylon mat with integral conductor and resistance cable.  It is designed for use on concrete floors, although you can adapt a wooden floor using either tile backer board or a thin screed of flexible tile adhesive.  The total thickness of the mat, including the heating cable is only 3.5mm. 

The insulation covering of the heating element is made from TEFLON and the external covering is woven wire braid with a further PVC sheath making it 100% waterproof.

*** For larger size rooms, more mats can be added in parallel to the thermostat, up to 3.4 kW, after this a contactor must be used.

NOTE: The MAGNUM Mat cannot be laid underneath any fixed units, the floor must always be able to radiate the heat. Never cut or shorten the cable.
